Work In Progress-Travel Journal

Let me first of all say sorry for the poor picture quality. I took these with my iPad because I am still having difficulty uploading pictures from my PC to my blog. So I did half the blog on my iPad and the rest on the computer. So here is the finished journal (I think).  I keep wanting to add more to it but I guess I should leave that to the person this will eventually belong to.  I may put some ribbon on the book rings so they don't look so stark.  But all in all I really like it.

Either a photo or journaling can go here.  I showed both options on this page  above and the one below.  The white card can be removed easily to replace it with a picture or turn it over and journal on the back.

I made more tags that can be used for pictures and/or journaling and then tucked into the vellum pocket.

I stamped and cut out the airplane and positioned it so those cards can be removed and replaced with a picture and the white lined paper can be journal-ed on and put into the pocket page with the ledger lines on it. (I hope that makes sense).

This is the opposite side of the white pocket page with the cards and tags taken out of the pocket.

The "post card" is the back of the globe card/tag from the previous picture.  The little brown stripped paper is an envelope I made to look like air mail (I hope).

I thought this was really cute with the "guest check"  it can be removed and replaced with a photo or a photo can be tucked behind it.  I attached the little journal tag with a coat hanger paper clip.  I thought it was appropriate with the suit case.
This is what this section looks like put together. and below is what it looks like with all the tags taken out.  The "post card" is the back of the white paper showing with the suitcases stacked on top of each other.

THE END.

post signatureI hoped you liked looking at this.  I will be posting this in my Etsy shop this week.  Please leave comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear from you.

  1. Wow! You did a really good job. I love all the different pockets and pages to journal. And you did a good job explaining it.
